Privacy Policy
SharpDaily ("we", "us") is operated by Noam Yakov, a sole trader based in Israel. This policy explains what we collect in the SharpDaily website and apps, why, and the choices you have. Questions: [email protected].
What we collect
- Your email address, to create your account, sign you in with a one-time code, and send service emails.
- Your first name, only if you add it, so family members know who an update is from.
- Your game activity: scores, levels, the days you play, and settings such as text size and reminders.
- People you invite: the name and email of family or friends you add for "played today" updates, and the emails you add to a Family plan. We email them once to ask; relatives only get updates after they say yes, and every email has a link to stop.
- Gifts: if you buy a gift, your name and email and the recipient's name, email and your message, so we can deliver it.
- Basic usage events (for example, that a game was started or finished, or that the day's games are done), linked to your account when you are signed in, and, on our website only, the campaign tags in an ad link, to measure which ads work. We keep these events for 180 days.
- Your puzzle warm-up results: if you give your email after the free warm-up on our website, we keep it with your score so we may email you a copy of your results (with a one-click unsubscribe), so you can come back to your plan without replaying, and, if you become a member with the same email, to choose the level each game starts at.
- In-app purchases (iPhone app): if you subscribe in the iPhone app, Apple processes the payment and shares the subscription's details with us: its transaction ID, the plan, purchase, renewal and end dates, whether it will renew, whether it was refunded, and whether it was a test purchase. We store these with your account to unlock your membership. To link the purchase to your account, we create a random account ID that contains nothing about you and give it to Apple with the purchase. Apple never shares your name, your Apple ID or your card details with us.
Payments on our website are handled by our reseller, Paddle.com, which receives your payment details directly. Payments in the iPhone app are handled by Apple. We never see or store your card number.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for sensitive personal information, location, contacts, photos or advertising IDs. The SharpDaily apps contain no advertising or tracking SDKs, and we do not sell or share your personal information for advertising.
How we use it
To run your account and daily plan, show your progress, send the emails you asked for (sign-in codes, trial and renewal reminders, weekly progress, family updates), provide support, keep the service secure, and on our website, measure our advertising.
Who processes it for us
Cloudflare (hosting and database), Amazon Web Services (sending email), Paddle.com (payments and subscriptions on our website) and Apple (payments and subscriptions in the iPhone app, through the App Store). They process data only to provide their service to us, and each is bound by contract to protect it with the same or equal protection described in this policy. Apple's handling of your App Store purchases is also covered by Apple's own privacy policy.
Advertising measurement (website only)
Our website may use Google and Meta measurement tags to learn whether an ad led to a sign-up. You can opt out of personalized ads in your Google and Meta account settings. The apps do not use these tags.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete your account and its data at any time in the app under Account → Delete my account, or by emailing [email protected]. Deleting removes your scores, settings, the people you invited, your Family plan seats, and the App Store purchase details and account ID we stored for the iPhone app. For website purchases we keep a minimal record of subscriptions and gift purchases (the email used and its status) for billing, tax and refunds, and Paddle keeps payment records as the law requires. Apple keeps its own records of App Store purchases. Deleting your account also cancels a subscription bought on our website. It does not cancel an App Store subscription: cancel that first in Account → Manage subscription, or in your iPhone's Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from emails with one click, and ask us to access, correct or delete your data at [email protected]. California residents have the rights described in the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete and correct, and we do not sell or share personal information.
Children
SharpDaily is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
If we make important changes to this policy, we will tell you by email or in the app.
