Grocery List: read the list, then pick it off the shelf
Grocery List gives you a short shopping list to read. When you're ready, you go to the store: a shelf of pictured items, twice as many as on your list. Tap everything that was on the list, then tap Done. A game has two lists.

How to play
- Read your shopping list. At Level 2 it has 5 items, each with a small picture. There's no clock: tap I'm ready when you are.
- At the store, the list is put away and a shelf of 10 items appears. Tap everything that was on your list. Tapped one by mistake? Tap it again to put it back.
- Tap Done. The shelf is marked: β on each right pick, β on each pick that wasn't on the list, and "Not picked" on any list item you left on the shelf.
- Look as long as you like. The marked shelf stays up until you tap Next list. After the second list, tap See my score.
A sample list
A Level 2 list, made from the game's own items:
- π₯ Milk
- π Bread
- π Bananas
- π§ Cheese
- β Coffee
At the store, those five are mixed in with five other items, for example apples, eggs, honey, rice and carrots. Say you tap milk, bread, bananas, coffee and honey. After Done, you'd see:
- β on milk, bread, bananas and coffee
- β on honey, which wasn't on the list
- "Not picked" on cheese
The line under the shelf sums it up: "You found 4 of 5, and picked 1 that wasn't on the list (marked β). Items on the list that you didn't pick say βNot pickedβ."
How the score works
Each list is scored on its own:
- Every right pick counts as 1.
- Every pick that wasn't on the list takes off half.
- The total is divided by the number of items on the list, out of 100.
In the sample above: 4 right picks, minus half for the honey, is 3.5 out of 5, so that list scores 70. All 5 with no extras scores 100. A list never scores below 0. Your game score is the average of the two lists.
Grocery List has no clock, so the score is only about which items you pick.
The five levels
| Level | Items on each list | Items on the shelf |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 | 8 |
| 2 | 5 | 10 |
| 3 | 6 | 12 |
| 4 | 7 | 14 |
| 5 | 8 | 16 |
The free round on this page is Level 2: two lists of 5.
What's in the store
The game stocks 24 everyday items: apples, milk, bread, cheese, eggs, bananas, carrots, tomatoes, butter, coffee, oranges, potatoes, chicken, fish, rice, cucumber, onions, honey, peanuts, cookies, juice, grapes, broccoli and chocolate. Each list is a fresh pick from those 24, and the other items on the shelf come from the same 24.
Questions about Grocery List
Does the order I tap them in matter?
No. Only which items you pick counts, not the order you tap them in.
Can I change my mind before Done?
Yes. Tap an item again to un-pick it. Nothing is scored until you tap Done.
Is it the same list every time?
No. Each list is picked at random, and so are the other items on the shelf.
