Where Was It? Find the square each picture was in

Where Was It? sets a few pictures on a board of squares: an umbrella here, a teddy bear there. Look for as long as you like, tap I'm ready, and the pictures hide. Then the game shows one picture at a time, and you tap the square it was in.

How to play

  1. Look at the board. At Level 2 it's 3 squares by 3, with 4 pictures on it. There's no clock on this screen.
  2. Tap I'm ready. The pictures hide and the board is empty.
  3. Place each picture. The game asks, for example, "Where was the ๐Ÿงฆ?" Tap the square where the socks were.
  4. See how it went. A right tap shows the picture in its square with a โœ“ and "Right there!", and the game moves on by itself. After a wrong tap, the picture appears in its real square with a โœ“, your square gets a โœ— and a dashed border, and the game waits until you tap Next.

The pictures are asked in a shuffled order.

Where Was It? at Level 2, question 1 of 4: the socks found in the bottom-left square of a 3-by-3 board, marked with a check and the words Right there
Question 1 of 4 at Level 2: the socks were in the bottom-left square, now shown with a โœ“ and the words "Right there!"

The pictures

The game uses 12 everyday things: a key, glasses, a phone, an umbrella, a top hat, a book, a watch, socks, a pen, a potted plant, a teddy bear and a candle. Each game uses a few of them.

The pictures are emoji, so their look depends on your device. The screenshot above comes from a Windows computer; an iPhone or iPad draws them in Apple's style.

How the score works

Every picture counts the same. Your score is the share you placed right, out of 100: 3 right out of 4 is 75. There's no clock in Where Was It?, on the board screen or the questions.
